How the Kids category works

The Kids category works differently from the rest of the vault: instead of scattered entries, you create one entry per child, and everything about that child lives inside it, organized into topics.

The topics

• School — school, teachers, schedules, activities
• Medical — pediatrician, allergies, medications, insurance
• Emergency — who to call, authorized pickups
• Legal — custody documents, guardianship designations
• Documents — birth certificate, Social Security card, passport

Each topic is a section inside the child’s entry — fill in what applies, skip what doesn’t.

Two ways to view

Toggle between View by Child (everything about Emma in one place — the default) and View by Topic (medical info for all three kids side by side). Same data, two lenses; use whichever fits the moment — by child for the babysitter briefing, by topic when you’re updating all the pediatrician records at once.

Search reaches inside topics too, so “pediatrician” finds the right child’s medical section directly.
