What is My Assets?

Last reviewed: July 6, 2026

My Assets is a single inventory of everything you own, pulled from every category in your vault — the map your family would need, all in one view.

How entries get there

When adding or editing any entry, check “Include in My Assets.” That’s it — the entry now appears in the My Assets view, grouped under its category, alongside assets from everywhere else in the vault.

The Valuables & Physical Assets entry type (in Finances & Accounts) checks the box for you automatically — it exists for exactly this: gold, jewelry, collectibles, safe deposit boxes, anything physical where what matters is what it is, where it is, and how to access it.

Why there are no dollar values

Deliberately. My Assets is the map your family will need, not the math. When someone has to step in, the question is “what exists and where is it?” — valuations go stale, but locations and access instructions are what actually get used. If you want the math, that’s the separate Net Worth view.
