I forgot my account password

Your account password is the one that signs you in. This one we can reset.

Reset it

• On the sign-in page, click “Forgot password?”
• Enter your email and send the reset link.
• Open the link from your inbox in the same browser you requested it from, and choose a new password (at least 8 characters).

Reset links are single-use and expire after a short time. If yours doesn’t work, see My password reset link isn’t working.

What this does not change

Resetting your account password does not touch your vault password or your data. After the reset you will still need your vault password to open the vault — the two are separate keys by design.

If the password you’ve actually forgotten is the one at the “Unlock your vault” step, an email reset won’t help — that’s a different flow. Read I forgot my vault password.
